Ryan E Hulse
“I’m as old as I have to be and I’m as young as I want to be“
Welcome and thanks for taking the time to surf my site. As you probably already know, my name is Ryan E. Hulse. I was born in New Jersey and grew up the beautiful township of Jackson, New Jersey (aka the “Gateway to the Jersey Shore”). It is here that I began my journey into the brilliant world of visual art.
Growing up, I always had an artistic flair. From expressing my artistic visions via Crayola products on the walls of my home, to the various blueprint constructions of Lego sets only to later rebuild them by memory, I’ve always enjoyed expressing my feelings through various art forms. While attending Jackson Memorial High School, I decided to take my first Graphics Communications class with Mr. Taylor and that’s when I got sucked into the world of graphics. I owe a lot of my success to my high school teachers, Mr. “Bud” McCormick, Mr. Taylor, and Mrs. Gagliano. In many ways they were my mentors and aided in the launch of my career as a visual artist.
I went on to attend college at Franklin Pierce University (FPU) in Rindge, NH where I studied Graphic Communications. While there I was able to really delve into the fundamentals of 35 mm photography as well as digital photography. My professors as well as my peers at FPU encouraged me to continue with my artistic endeavors. Professors Jay Hill and Al Karevy were extremely supportive of my talents and taught me as much as they could during the years that I attended the University. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Graphic Communications from FPU in May 2009. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Leadership from FPU, while working as a Graduate Assistant for their Marketing & Communications department providing a plethora of photography and graphic design for all of the University’s events and marketing materials.

During my educational pursuit, I have held a few positions that are worthy of note. Beginning in high school, I worked as a henna tattoo artist at the famous Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey on behalf of RanDan Enterprises. As I proved my ability to not only produce exceptional artwork but also handle customers with ease, I was promoted to manager. During the summer entering my senior year of college I not only worked as a henna artist, but I also landed an amazing photography internship at Madison Square Garden in New York City. There I assisted with capturing the moments of various sporting events for teams such as the New York Rangers and various concerts. Learning from and working with some of the best photographers in the industry, George Kalinsky and Rebecca Taylor, it was a great experience and I met some wonderful people along the way (not to mention a few celebrities!)
As I work my way through my Masters degree, I am open to all photographic and design opportunities that might be waiting. Please feel free to contact me to get a quote on your next project. Whether it may be portraits, sports photography, business cards or brochures, I would be happy to assist you in your design and/or photography needs. Thanks again for visiting, I hope you enjoy my site!
